NOTE: Those are not facial tattoos. I'd just won the All-Star award at Nordstrom and they asked me to include a star in my official portrait. So I drew a few on with a marker.

About

I'm a strategic, deadline-driven writer, editor and content strategist based in Seattle, Washington. I love infusing copy with humor and humanity. I believe that the best brands are both relatable and aspirational. Brands can (and should) make the world a better place.

The best part of my job is figuring out what people want to know, then delivering that information in the best possible way. Smart, conversational language is my trademark; I use it to craft engaging stories in innovative ways across all channels. What excites me right now is the opportunity to create content for so many platforms, from print magazines to marketing emails, from VR experiences to chatbots—each optimized to deliver the right message to the right person at the right time.

Random personal facts: I'm originally from a petrochemical refinery town in southeast Texas. I'm a certified hypnotherapist. One time I edited a magazine that employed Mojo Nixon as the advice columnist. My favorite karaoke song is "It's the End of the World as We Know It (and I Feel Fine)." I’m married to an XR research engineer (XR = virtual reality + augmented reality), so my living room is full of ornamental baskets piled high with the future.
